Portfolio Review from 31 May to 6 June 2021

The model portfolio for value-investing is now up 4.94% from 23 Mar to 9 June 21. Last week, the portfolio was up 4.25%. It is now up another 0.49% to 4.94%. The XIRR is 21.3%. What is encouraging is that while the Tracker Fund of Hong Kong (2800 HK) is down for the month, the portfolio managed to follow the S&P500 upwards.

In the last 30 days, the portfolio is up by 4.29%, outperforming the Vanguard Total World Stock Index (up 1.77%), S&P 500 ETF (+0.89%) and Tracker HK (1.25%).  Moderna contributed 0.54% to the gain with a 37% return. 2823 HK A50 Share contributed 0.41% with a 6.72% return. Sea Ltd contributed 0.32% with an 18.2% return. Veeva Systems contributed 0.32% with a 16.7% return. 9 out of 10 stocks with the exception of Lemonade, are based on the value-momentum system. Lemonade was a mean-reversion strategy, having fallen drastically below the 200 days MA and finally showing signs of bottoming.

76.5% of the portfolio is still with stocks listed in the US. This is followed by HK listed Chinese stocks at 13.6%. Singapore listed stocks are third at 9.7%.
